David Blinn,
Grants Specialist

David Blinn (he/him), Grants Specialist, joined YES in January 2024. A former high school English teacher, David holds an M.A. in Education from Stanford University and a B.A. in English and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. David has over a decade of experience in education, and his work with young people centers around creating inclusive spaces that promote communication, empathy, and social and emotional learning. David was drawn to YES because he believes that outdoor recreation and experiential learning are essential for youth development. In his spare time, David is an avid hiker and trailrunner. He also loves riding his bike around the East Bay and rock climbing with his partner.
