    The Watershed Project

    This is a student worker program made for college students looking for paid, hands-on work experience in the environmental field. GCC members gain valuable job skills and exposure to a wide variety of environmental careers by working side by side with environmental professionals, both in the field and in the office, and on personalized projects based on their own interests. In addition to these projects, GCC members participate in frequent educational trainings and team-building activities.

    This is a flexible, part-time position, designed to accommodate college courses. GCC members are expected to work with TWP for at least one year, and many stay with us for several years.

  • Recycling Driver - Pre-Apprenticeship

    Civicorps

    Civicorps Recycling offers truck driving training leading to a Class B license with a starting wage of $17.06. The Recycling Driver will work in Civicorps’ Recycling Social Enterprise which provides recycling collection services to small businesses, commercial operations and institutions in Oakland and other parts of the East Bay. The minimum requirements for entering the program are a HS Diploma or GED, a Class C driver’s license with a clean DMV record and the ability to pass drug testing. All applicants must be between the ages of 18-26.

    BBK is bringing together an intergenerational group of Black residents who will meet about once a month and receive a stipend to create solutions to address the achievement gap. Specifically they need more youth! They just have to be either a resident or student in West Contra Costa County. There is a short nomination form in the bio on their instagram: @richmond_bbk.
