Lanisha (she/her) joined the YES team in 2026, though her connection to YES began at just 12 years old. She is excited to grow in her new role and is passionate about advancing park equity for all Richmond residents.
Lanisha began working with children of diverse abilities in 2016 as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with the West Contra Costa Unified School District. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts at Southern New Hampshire University, with the goal of becoming a special education teacher serving Richmond students.
In her free time, Lanisha enjoys listening to ’90s R&B as if it just came out yesterday, learning outdoor survival skills, playing video games, hosting game nights, and laughing with friends until her belly aches.
