Juanita Towns,

Juanita A. Towns is a dedicated Community Engagement Specialist and Certified Life Coach whose work is deeply rooted in the Richmond community. As the Co-Founder of the Black Parents Resource Center, Juanita has spent over two decades building bridges across diverse populations, ensuring that local families have the advocacy and resources needed to thrive. She is the author of Beyond the Call: Reclaiming Power through Community Engagement in Black and African American Neighborhoods, a definitive guide to grassroots mobilization.

In addition to her advocacy, Juanita is a multifaceted entrepreneur founding W.O.R. (Women On the Rise) Movement and a music publishing firm and a creative strategist for youth initiatives like B.L.O.C.K. Buddies. Her unique combination of professional coaching expertise and a "feet-on-the-ground" approach to community service allows her to bring a compassionate, results-oriented perspective to her community. Whether navigating local policy or mentoring individuals toward their highest potential, Juanita remains a steadfast champion for equity, education, outdoors, communities, and collective empowerment in the Bay Area.
