YES Family Camp, bringing Richmond families and communities together since 2004. Family Camp brings families and communities together so that people can enjoy themselves & relax! At camp, families learn about the natural environment, health & wellness practices and gain skills and tools to bring positive change to their Richmond community.
Activities: music, art, archery, KickSmart, Environmental Ed. presentation, swimming, Zumba, campfire, hiking, and more!
Cabins: Families will sleep in clean, heated cabins accommodating up to 10-12 people. Some families share cabins with other families, depending on camp capacity.
Food: All food is provided, including snacks. We ask that you avoid bringing junk food or sugar-sweetened beverages to promote a healthy environment.
To Qualify: Families are invited to camp if they have children who attend YES’s year-round programming; Summer Camp, Camp Days, Richmond Rangers, Camp-to-Community and the Youth Engagement Team.
Families may bring up six family members total, including children, on a first come, first served basis.
All family members should be related and preferably living in the same household.
The minimum age to attend Family Camp is 3 years of age and potty trained.
Parents/guardians must be 21 years or older with one adult attending for every two children on average.
Transportation: Families ride the YES charter busses to camp. Busses depart from Nichol Park at 4PM sharp on Friday, October 5th and return by 5PM on Sunday, October 7th.
Mandatory orientation: Thursday, September 27th at 4:30PM at 3105 Macdonald Ave., Richmond, CA.
